Recognizing safety performance can be all too easy to forget – after all, the biggest safety achievement is if nothing happens at all. That’s why putting a safety rewards system in place is absolutely crucial to maintaining accountability. Here, you’ll learn some tips for making sure your employees stay safe.
Workplace Safety Signs

Activities to promote safety

A number of activities can be implemented to maximize workplace safety. The optimal ones require little time and effort but maximize safety and productivity. Here are three examples:

Short safety quizzes geared towards a particular workplace are a great way to inform employees about your company’s safety regulations. When designing the quiz, use the company's safety handbook (if one exists) to make sure the questions are tailored specifically to your company. To incentivize employees, try hosting a celebration after every employee completes the quiz.
Strategically placing posters or signs in noticeable areas reminds workers to keep caution at all times and to be aware of any nearby hazards. Proper signage in high danger zones like construction sites and chemical laboratories go a long way in promoting safety. Choose signs with fluorescent colors like orange or yellow to catch the eye’s attention. Signs can also be customized to suit any condition.
Personalized letters allow employees to read up on safety procedures in their own time. These friendly letters can be used to invite the participation of staff/clients to a safety rewards program of your choosing. In the letter, be sure to build hype for the program to ensure workers will be more driven to participate.
The most common workplace injuries can often be avoided by following the most basic safety guidelines. #1 cause of workplace fatalities in the United States is slip-and-fall incidents that can be triggered by a wet floor, a slippery surface, or unstable scaffolds, etc. Avoid these incidents by replica watches placing a wet floor sign, keeping areas clean following a spill or leak, or by ensuring the integrity of any dangerous structure. The combination of adhering to basic safety guidelines and generating activities to promote safety in the workplace can significantly reduce workplace injuries.
Safety Posters

Posters are one way to make sure your employees never take the day off worker safety.
